Get to Know Jack Frost Ski Resort (PA)

For those all over the northeast United States, taking a local weekend ski trip can be a fun experience. One great local ski resort to consider is the Jack Frost Ski resort, which provides plenty of amenities to avid skiers. 

Getting There
The Jack Frost Ski Resort is a convenient option for anyone from the New Haven, CT area. When it is not rush hour, you can normally driver there in as few as three hours. The best route to take is to take I-91 to I-95 and then to I-287 West. You will eventually get onto I-80 West, which you will then take towards Exit 284. Once there, you can follow the signs to the resort. 

Rates
The resort has a variety of different lift ticket options based on the time of the year, date, and age of a skier. For an adult that is looking to ski midweek, lift tickets are normally about $55 for one day or $100 for two days. You can also get night ski packages that start at $35. Generally speaking, when you want to ski during holidays or over the weekend, the lift ticket rates are about twenty percent higher. 

There are also great deals available for senior citizens and children. Seniors over the age of 65 and youth skiers between the ages of 7 and 17 get get a one-day off-peak ski lift ticket for just $40. Children under the age of 7 can get a one day pass for $10. People of all ages can also rent their equipment through the resort for a fee of $49 per day, including the cost of a helmet. 

Ski and Resort Amenities
Jack Frost is a great option for skiers of all skill levels. There are a total of 20 runs, which range from beginner to expert. The 600 foot vertical drop is enough to excite any skier. The resort has two main onsite accommodations, which are ideal for anyone looking to spend the weekend skiing. There is also a couple of restaurants and bars to enjoy when you are done for the day.
