Get to Know Stowe Mountain Resort (VT)
Stowe Mountain Resort is one of the top 10 skiing resorts in the United States located in the state of Vermont near the town Stowe. It was created in 1930, which makes it one of the oldest resorts in the country. It has about 300 inches of snow annually, which creates perfect skiing and snowboarding traditions. There are 116 trails both for beginners and advanced skiers. Besides downhill skiing and snowboarding, guests can enjoy other winter activities, including cross-country skiing, ice skating, and snowshoeing.
The distance between New Haven and the resort is 263 miles, which is about 4 hours and 20 minutes of drive time. Take the highway Interstate-91 north towards Greenfield. After about 150 miles take an exit 10B towards I-89 north. Keep driving for about 70 miles and take Exit 10 to the highway VT-100 South. In about 35 miles you will arrive at your destination.

The resort is famous for its perfect winter and snow conditions by attracting skiers of all levels from all over the country. However, there are also other things to do. The resort is open year-round with a range of activities in all seasons. In summer and fall, guests can try ziplining, rope course, or hiking. There is also an adventure center with a climbing wall, spa center, a lot of restaurants, and stores. With regards to lodging, a luxury hotel and spa the Lodge at Spruce Peak is located in Stowe, several miles from the resort.
