Get to Know Hunter Mountain Resort (NY)

Hunter Mountain is a family-friendly ski resort located in Hunter, New York. In addition to offering skiing and snowboarding, there are many amenities for guests to enjoy during time off of the slopes. 

Getting There
Hunter Mountain Ski Resort (name of ski resort) is approximately 140 miles away from New Haven, CT. To get to the ski resort by car is about a three-hour drive. Whether you are planning a weekend getaway, or simply taking a fun day trip, leaving earlier in the morning will probably be your best bet. If you don’t mind paying a toll or two, the easiest way to make it to the resort is to hop onto I-84 in Newtown from CT-34 W/Derby Ave and then follow I-84 and I-87 N/New York State Thruway to NY-212 W/NY-32 N in Saugerties. From there you’ll take exit 20 from I-87 N/New York State Thruway and continue on NY-32 N. You’ll then take NY-23A W to King James Ct. 

Rates
There are several ticket package deals, and the lift tickets are pretty affordable on their own. Midweek lift tickets are $81 per day for adults and $63 for children aged 7-17 or seniors aged 65 and up. As with most other places, you can expect to pay a little bit more during holidays and weekends with a 1-day adult ticket being $91 and 1-day youth/senior tickets being $68. If you are not looking to be out all day, you can save a few dollars by purchasing a midweek afternoon ticket ($70 for adults) or a late afternoon ticket ($26 for adults). 

Lodging
Hunter Mountain boasts a wide variety of lodging options. Hotel room accommodations range from studio suites to two and three-bedroom suites. Additionally, there are luxurious condominiums that are also available to rent. All guests receive access to a heated pool, spa, video arcade, and more! With all of the stay and play packages that the resort offers, you are sure to find one that fits your needs!
