Snuggly tucked away in the mountains of Highmount New York, Belleayre Mountain Ski Center is a premier designation for the winter sport enthusiast. With 50 trails and 8 lifts, Belleayre mountain has become an international destination for a fun family getaway.  

Getting There
Getting to Belleayre Mountain Ski Center from New Haven: Under a 3-hour drive and 95 miles from the heart of New Haven, this resort is not so close, but so worth the drive. To get there you take I-84 W towards Danbury then merge onto the New York State Thruway N towards Albany, take exit 19 towards NY-28/Kingston/Rhinecliff Br, merge onto NY-28 W, turn left onto Galli Curci Rd, one last left onto State Highway to Belleayre, and you’ve arrived. 

With ticket prices in the lower range compared to neighboring competitors, you won’t break the bank. Adult day passes start at $68 Monday through Friday, seniors and teens are discounted and complimentary passes are offered for children 6 years old and under. Holidays are priced slightly higher but still well below its neighboring competitors. It’s also worth checking out their frequency skier cards that offer Discounts up to 50% off ticket prices.  

All in all, Belleayre Mountain Ski Center is a well rounded family getaway with plenty of attractions, dining, and shopping options in the vicinity. Professional skiers or snowboarders may desire more advanced trails and amenities; but for the average/intermediate or novice winter sports enthusiast you may be the best bang for your buck. With dozens of lodging options nearby you’re guaranteed to find something that fits your family’s budget and taste, including a variety of ski-and-stay packages. It’s also worth noting that with their snow guarantee you will be issued a ticket voucher if you are not happy with the snow conditions during your initial visit. There’s nothing to lose, make the best of your next snow day!
